It is intended for managing numerical uncertainty represented in terms of intervals and constraint formulas (equations). The system was exhibited at CeBIT96 in Hannover in March and shipments to end-users started in May. A free demo version of the system together with the user's guide are now downloadable at the WWW site of VTT Information Technology, Finland: http://www.vtt.fi/tte/projects/interval/range-solver Any comments concerning the system and the idea of generalizing the spreadsheet paradigm by interval constraints are most wellcome.
