The Phenomenon of Quenching: Physical Background and Current
Results in Hyperbolic Equations
by
Jianmin Zhu
The phenomenon of quenching occurs in the physical world.
Several examples will be introduced. Results obtained by using
the topology of the phase trajectories as well as the interpretation
of results for the physical problems will be given.
The basic concept of quenching in differential equations, and current
results of quenching in hyperbolic equations will be presented.
