Mathematics 556, Spring 2019 Course Prerequisites
The formal requirement is Math. 455 (numerical analysis, first semester) or
permission of the instructor
and graduate coordinator. However, this year, the course is being taught as
a sequence, so prospective students who have not taken Math. 555 during the
fall should talk with me. In
Math. 556, we will continue the study of eigenvalues and eigenvectors
(Chapter 5 of the text), then cover topics from the remainder of the book.
