Mathematics 555 Course Prerequisites
Math. 455 (advanced numerical analysis, first semester) or permission of
the instructor
and graduate coordinator. Additionally, students should have a working
knowledge of a scientific computer programming language (preferably Fortran

Finally, a working knowledge of the basics of linear algebra, such as in
