The first exam:
The first exam will be held Wednesday, February 15. Here are some
things you will be asked to do:
- Write a short Matlab script to do iteration and print out values from
each iteration.
- Determine the order of convergence of an iteration.
- Analyze a fixed-point iteration.
- Estimate the number of digits correct in a result.
- Rewrite an expression to reduce the effects of roundoff error.
